You need to go hire you a good CPA, they will know the tax codes. it would be better to have them do it for you and pay you a salary out of that and pay your taxes so you don't get into trouble with the government. Most janitoriasl companies average about 7.5 percent mine runs on 10% But, when I do alot of work myself the percent goes way up. |

I'm trying to get a formula for withholdings from employee payroll. I'm just starting and I know insurance the first year is tricky b/c it's based on payroll. Is there an average % per say 100 that should be held per employee to cover insurance expense. also what should I make as the proprietor? For instance say I landed a $1000.00 per month office contract, how much goes to the business, how much to the employee, and how much for insurance and other expenses involved in having employees(taxes)? And one more thing, what all am I required to withhold for employees I know, SS, Medicare, Liability Insurance am I missing anything? what about workmans comp? Please help!!!! |
